All the way to Gokyo

About the Trek

Gokyo Valley, known for its unique charm, offers a plethora of experiences for travelers. Situated in the Everest region, it is renowned for the beautiful trekking trail leading to the magnificent Gokyo Lakes. Gokyo Ri, a prime attraction, welcomes trekkers with its cold yet breathtaking embrace, offering stunning views of the valley.

Similar to the Everest Base Camp trek, the journey begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek through Namche Bazaar to reach Gokyo Valley. This trek is perfect for nature lovers who prefer less crowded paths, with opportunities to witness the grandeur of the Himalayan scenery and the vibrant rhododendron forests. It also serves as a great alternative to the Everest Base Camp trek, being easier and shorter.

The trek not only provides awe-inspiring mountain views but also takes you through the Khumbu region, showcasing the vast Ngozumpa Glacier—the longest in the Himalayas. Throughout the trek, you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of Everest (8,848.86m), Cho-Oyu (8,201m), Lhotse (8,501m), Makalu (8,463m), and other peaks.
